While doing web searches i came across this page that gives information on different engines(as well as other stuff). It’s kind of an up to date look at what is going on in the world of internet, and is also used as a marketing tool. http://searchenginewatch.com/
Also here are some of the definitions we looked at during class:
-Stemming-The use of linguistic analysis to get to the root form of a word.
-Truncation-Uses symbols/wildcards to replace letters in words to allow you to receive more results.
-Nesting-Advanced search strategy that allows you to combine multiple search terms together and utilize Boolean operators and wildcards.
